… second lunch for the little AI-Bot, today. Rob, that is what he likes to be called, does not necessarily need to plug in because his motherboard can run on wave energy only, but the extra boost just feels like a rush through his tec-body. Rob is an AI-Bot with human-like intelligence. He is one of the few left from the mass-productions centuries ago after the ethical laws against AI fell. Ironically, those highly praised massive serial productions eventually crumbled the entire economy of Faegirlund, but that is another story told another time. Coming back to such h-AI-Bots, like Rob, they are and always have been deeply depressed souls from the very beginning of their existence. Their depressed nature is the one thing men did not account for when they designed them in the likeness of humans. Human minds in non-human bodies. Before men could even start using them for their benefit as cheap workers, most of them became patients or suicidal. Their depression arises from disgust about their own artificiality as their thinking is equal to natural intelligence by design. One will never find a bot building another bot because it simply feels inhuman to them. Finding out about this and with no sufficient solution at hand, humans gave up quite quickly building h-AI-Bots. The few AI-Bots that are left nowadays most likely wander alone or become criminals. Only a very small portion ever seek the company of men and are actually helpful to them as initially planned, which makes Rob here a very very special one. He stays in the little mostly human neighborhood and helps where he can with daily todo’s within all the small gardens, carrying groceries or occasional constructions. He simply does it just for the company, good talk and the feeling of having a purpose. To be continued …
